After more than 10 years of classical guitar, Radu shifts his attention towards improvised music and studies jazz guitar and funk la bas. Then he starts experimenting with electronic music and he specializes in the so called “finger drumming”, a new way of making live beats.
From the moment he discovers the santour, the sound of which he immediately falls in love with, Radu devotes his time almost exclusively studying various oriental traditions, among which the Persian Radif and Turkish Makam. At the same time he is interested in the oriental side of romanian traditional music and seeks to combine them in a modern way.
During a visit in his studio, the following instruments could be discovered: santur, ney, kaval, cymbalom, guitar, bass and various electronic instruments.
După mai mult de 10 ani de chitară clasică, Radu își îndreaptă atenția spre muzica improvizată și studiază chitară jazz și funk bass. Apoi experimentează cu muzica electronică și se specializează în așa numitul “finger drumming”, un nou mod de a face beat-uri live.
Din momentul în care descoperă santurul, de al cărui sunet se îndrăgostește iremediabil, Radu își dedică aproape exclusiv timpul studiind diverse tradiții orientale, printre care sistemul Radif Persan și de Makam Turcesc. În același timp, îl interesează latura orientală a muzicii tradiționale românești și caută să le îmbine pe aceastea într-un stil modern.
Un vizitator în studioul său ar putea descoperi următoarele instrumente: santur, ney, kaval, țambal, chitară, bas și diverse instrumente electronice.
